As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will have to develop robotic solutions for specific machining needs.

On a daily basis, you will be asked to:

  1. Understand customer needs
  2. Identify potential solutions
  3. Iterate to develop the solution
  4. Test and industrialize the solution
  5. Document your work and technical results

In addition, you will have to apply and promote the project processes, R&D and quality system. To achieve this, you will need to work with other project team members.

  • Participate in development in a SCRUM environment
  • Configure equipment – robots, motors, abrasives, sensors, operating sequences – to develop robotic finishing processes
  • Validate element concepts and layouts in systems using HandlingPro software
  • Participate in system design
  • Actively participate in brainstorming for the development of new solutions
  • Document and share your results and analysis for discussion and validation with colleagues
  • Participate in writing study plans and reports
  • Participate in the implementation of new systems at the clients’ facilities
  • Provide in-house training
  • Provide customer training
  • Participate in the various activities related to the robotic finishing engineering group
  • Perform any other related tasks


  • Studies in mechanical engineering, automated production or relevant field
  • Studies in machining or industrial robotics
  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
  • Comfortable working in a development environment; many unknowns and uncertainties, frequent trial and error, failures are part of the process
  • Skills in analysis and resolution of complex problems
  • Systematic approach
  • Basic knowledge of mechanics/electrical/programming (ex. bench test setup)
  • Enthusiasm and autonomy
  • Fluent in French/English, spoken/written
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Available for travel abroad (up to 30%)


  • Experience in machining
  • Experience in the field of robotics
  • Knowledge of FANUC Robotics industrial robots
  • Knowledge of abrasives (brushes, discs, etc.) and their parameters of use
  • Experience in manual benching of metallic parts
  • Notions in metal part finishing
