Purchasing and Inventory Clerk

Job Summary

As a purchasing and inventory clerk, you will have to participate in various steps related to the company’s administrative activities, mainly those related to procurement and logistics.

Responsabilities and Main Tasks

  • Perform transactions on a daily basis of the movement of parts (reception-exit) to ensure proper inventory management in the ERP;
  • Inspect parts compliance and verify incoming goods against invoices or other technical documents;
  • Place the equipment received at the location determined after receipt;
  • Prepare parts orders for assembly;
  • Maintain records of orders and the number, type of parts and supplies available and where they are stored using a computerized system;
  • Interact and coordinate with managers their needs for different projects;
  • Assist with shipping management of manufactured parts and complete documentation;
  • Assist when necessary with tasks related to quotes and purchase order management (Create, send to suppliers, follow up) (in ERP);
  • Participate in inventory management and parts flow on the production floor with ERP;
  • Generate reports with ERP; 
  • Perform cyclical inventories of production equipment as directed by the Procurement Authority and/or Logistics and Inventory Coordinator;
  • Check the calibration equipment list within the required timeframe;
  • Participate in mid-year and year-end inventories;
  • Participate in shipping and receiving as required;
  • Perform all other related duties.

Requirements

Education:

AEC or DEC in supply, AEC in inventory management, AEC in stock management

Relevant years of experience: 0-5 years of experience.
