Mechanical Designer Technician
Job Summary
You will be called upon to work in all phases of a client project (system design, drafting engineering quotes, assembly, installation, startup, and validation). Thus, you will evolve within a multidisciplinary team that integrates the company’s technologies and expertise into robotic systems intended for clients. You will also participate in the development and maintenance of AV&R’s robotic products.

Responsabilities and Main Tasks
- Design the mechanical portion of robotic systems;
- Participate in the development and maintenance of robotic products;
- Model systems using SolidWorks software;
- Prepare manufacturing drawings and select commercial components;
- Proceed with the process of submitting and purchasing custom and commercial material;
- Act as the contact with manufacturers and product representatives, aiding in the development of solutions;
- Supervise the assembly of systems and may be called upon to participate;
- Perform performance tests on systems;
- Design and prepare drawings for pneumatic circuits;
- Identify and develop innovative solutions to meet customer requests;
- Monitor costs and schedules of your projects;
- Participate in the installation and startup of automated systems at the client’s site;
- Perform any other related tasks.
Requirements
Education: DCS in Mechanical Engineering, DCS in Aerospace Engineering, or DVS in Industrial Drafting, or equivalent experience.
Relevant years of experience: 0-5 years of experience.
Personal Qualities and Skills:
Nice To Have
- Proficiency in SolidWorks software;
- Knowledge of PDM vault;
- Knowledge of machine safety standards;
- Knowledge of machining or sheet metal or welding;
- General pneumatic knowledge;
- 2 to 5 years of experience with automated or robotic systems.
