Engineer / Mechanical Designer
Job Summary
You will work in all phases of a client project (systems design, engineering quote writing, assembly, installation, start-up and validation. Thus, you will evolve within a multidisciplinary team that integrates the company’s technologies and expertise into robotic systems for clients. You will also be involved in the development and maintenance of AV&R robotic products.

Responsibilities and Main Tasks
- Design the mechanical components of robotic systems (structures, systems, tooling, etc.)
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of robotic products
- Model systems using SolidWorks software
- Prepare manufacturing drawings and select commercial components
- Proceed with the process of submitting and purchasing custom and commercial equipment
- Act as a contact for manufacturers and product representatives, serving the development of solutions
- Supervise the assembly of systems, may be required to participate
- Perform system performance tests
- Design and prepare drawings of pneumatic circuits
- Identify and develop innovative solutions to meet client demands
- Monitor the costs and timelines of your projects
- Participate in the installation and startup of automated systems at the client’s premises
- Perform all other related tasks
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or any equivalent experiments
Relevant years of experience: 2 to 5 years of experience
Personal Qualities and Skills:
Assets
- Proficiency in SolidWorks software
- Knowledge of the PDM vault
- Knowledge of the field of machining or sheet metal or welding
- Knowledge of additive manufacturing (FDM)
- General pneumatic knowledge
- Knowledge of machine safety standards
- Experience with finishing metal parts with abrasives
- 2 to 5 years of experience with automated or robotic systems
